Two things. First, we could just use home winning %, second, the actual % we use can be adjusted after some research.
Many people feel that they want to reward active managers. A better way for would be to only look at home winning pct. A more active manager is bound to have a better winning % than road winning % over the long haul.
The % I threw out there were just starting points. The actual numbers to be used can be modified later.
It would be interesting to see what the overall winning % of unmanaged teams are, as well as home winning %. This would be a baseline for the lower end of the spectrum. We could then look at some managers that had good years(so called bragging, if you want) to establish the upper range.
I definetly agree that giving money could be a problem, but offering a discount off of the following year of playing should work around this, as well as offering free launch leagues, etc.
I didn't see any comments on the other item mentioned, incentives for bringing in new owners.
