Great idea with Diamond Mind Baseball. I have never tried this game.
I also have the new Bill James Baseball Handbook, and am starting to go through and make a card file of the rookies.
Subsequently, when I review "top prospect" lists from Baseball America or Baseball Weekly, I make notes on the specific rookie's card file. When it comes closer to the rookie draft, I have a ready unifying source to help me rank the rookies by position, and then after reviewing my team needs, can develop my rookie draft list.
This is the scouting time of the year, and I think alot of fun. This groundwork is all about how to build a winning organization. Don't try to cut corners...those who do the work will develop winning teams.
