If it was an away game...

The robot sometimes will start your reliever if you don't set up your "DEFAULT MANAGER OPTIONS" or even if you do set them but then decide to make a roster move and forget to reset them.

Lots of complaint posts below about strange things happening when DEFAULT MANAGER OPTIONS don't get set either by accident or by neglect.

Here is an example post from a disgruntled PB'er back when John Smoltz was relieving and only relieving - post of 6/15/2004:

ROBOT TOATALLY screws my team in D5

Posted By Doc

Starts John Smoltz in game 4 of my series..goes 7.2 innings, is now 142 usage and overused. my reliever are decimated now. TOTAL BULLSHIT. I have 6 decent starters all accounted for properly.

and a reply:

Robot Screwed Mine Up Before Yours Doc

Did the same guy write our scripts doc? I had Garland, Ishi, Silva, Robertson, and Arroyo, all full time starters scheduled to pitch while my team was onthe road during week two of the season. Here's who started. Garland in game1. Ishi is Game 2. So far so good. TIM WORRELL IN GAME 3. Yeah the relief pitcher Worrell. Robertson in Gamer 4, and then Garland again in Game 5 while Carlos Silva and Arroyo sat on the bench and didn't throw a pitch throughout the entire series. DYSFUNCTIONAL ROBOTITIS IS THE NAME OF THAT DISEASE DOC!
All the managerial decisions were made beforehand by myself in the usual manner so the results were a total supreis to me as they must have been to you too.
I hope all in your household tool

[a new keyboard caused a few typos by the poster but he did post later wanting people to know those were typos - so I feel I should repeat that.]

Bottom line - maybe it was intentional - maybe it was the robot.
