I agree the downgrade isn't steep enough to be a deterant.

My main complaint is that they often get bumped up to 30+ PAs and gets the 175% recovery rate - I think if the reliever never started during the year they should get only twice their normal number of BFA's available, and they shouldn't get increased recovery either. That way they would behave more like an emergency start in real baseball where the reliever often goes only 4 innings or so.

What makes it bush about the playoffs is with the extra rest days and the way usage is calculated you can afford to use relievers like this if you have a deep bullpen - a reliever with 70 IPs could easily start game 4 of 3 playoff series if a team gets that far.
