Then again we are playing what if. What if the Yankees were smarter and played Jeter in CF or 3B and Arod at SS? What if Shields was made a starter instead of a reliever? What if Mr Manager actually benched some of his lefties that suck vs. lefties and use some righties to help platoon?

Part of the fun each year is watching a guy play through the actual season, then seeing Arod take some innings at SS knowing you can still use him there, or that nice middle reliever getting a couple starts at the end of the season, letting you use him as a part time starter next year.

Instead of looking at changing everything, just make a slight modification to relievers without any starts making a start. If he is currently be downgraded by 10%, then make it 20% and lets get on to the next subject, team ownership.
