This has been a recurring problem. The platoon factor works in most cases and you can check it during the game. Check the stats within the game and you will see reduced greatly numbers for players over the platoon level.

Unfortunately, in some cases like the REED case you describe, the game does not get the message correctly from the network and continues to let that player hit at his real rate.

As easy as it would seem to fix something like this, it has proved elusive and is still on our list of problems to solve. For some reason it has not been a problem in the playoffs in the past.
