Nice logic, but its begging the question. You found an example that fits the logic.
Pick some random players and I suspect you'll find that nice logic falls apart.
You can find examples where the stats make sense but plenty more where they don't.
For instance, my TRAD Malaga team in D5:
Schilling has MLB LOPS/ROPS of .618/.703
his PB LOPS/ROPS are: .735/.832.
Now if you suggest the league or opposition or home field played a role, sure, but lets look at Josh Fogg on the same team:
MLB .831/.754
PB .685/.715
Here his lousy LOPS resulted in great success vs lefties. Maybe I should have used him more vs lefties???
If you pick individual players you can find stats to support any theory you want.
I agree with you that probably if you play a guy with low LOPS high ROPS against mostly lefties he'll do better than if you play him against mostly righties - but you can't pick specific examples as a way to prove it.
