Re: Missing the point
I don't think I missed the point. The purpose of my post was to give possible explanations for the phenomena you outlined. As far as programming "CHEAT CODES" into the game I have seen no EVIDENCE of that but I surely won't say that its IMPOSSIBLE because after all hackers can get into banks, and government computers. So I suppose anything is POSSIBLE.
More to the point though I was trying to explain from MY PAST EXPERIENCE that its POSSIBLE that these items are HONEST shortcomings of the game instead of PROOF OF CHEATING.
Regarding the specific issue of the team that won 5 games when another team played everyone out of position. I assume from the text of your message that you essentially are claiming that someone deliberately played players out of position in order to help Wingate win that series. Last year in the playoffs of a launch league a friend of mine lost a game where every player on his team was stuck at the wrong position. This was either the job of a hacker or a glitch in the database. My point was that in the example I had seen previously the positions were changed by some force other than the owner of the team whose players played the wrong postion. If it could happen once it could happen again.
Here is a link to the box score of the game I am talking about.
