Promises are easy to make but they are much harder to keep. In my opinion the best predictor of what will happen in the future is past behavior. The traditional playoffs began Nov 20 (53 days ago). They are scheduled to resume Sunday. I hope I am wrong but I would not be surprised if they are not ready by then.

As for the future of PB Mike has many ideas. I think the three most seious problems are as follows:
1)The inability of the commish / technical to keep to the published schedule
2) Lack of communication from the commish / technical
3)The large number of unmanaged teams
Other than these major problems I was not in any way dissatisfied with the old PB. If these three issues are addressed (either by more automation, by letting customer service people do more, or letting deputy commissioners run unmanaged teams I will be very satisfied. Anything else beyond that is gravy. The best way Mike can demonstrate that we are on the right path is to make sure the World Series gets played in a timely manner.
