I was "floored" to find this out. A couple of weeks ago, I was getting antsy to find out when the Scouting Notebook that I had used for many years (probably since it first came out) was going to be published. I called the STATS main office and spoke to someone there and found out it had been terminated. I couldn't believe it as, IMHO...this was by far the single best baseball player resource out there bar none. I hope it gets resurrected in the future but now that it's gone, that's probably unlikely. The only other books that I know of that may be of use are "The Baseball Prospectus" and Sporting News "The Baseball Register & Fantasy Handbook. They aren't as comprehensive on each player as the "Scouting Notebook" was but they may do in a pinch.
