Attaching your name to your statements provides ownership to the thoughts posted. That should ensure your comments have some dignity are at least civil. That garners you some measure of credibility. That, in turn, generates you respect.

Also, posting your name to any comments you make at least ensures some measure of temperance (moderation, self restraint). It's also the polite thing to do. The internet has allowed many to throw any measure of decorum (appropriateness of behavior) out the window by hiding behind anonymity.

As far as I am concerned, I will no longer post any replies to anyone not having the decency to sign their posts.
