I'd like to add I prefer trading to the actual game playing - its the GM part of the game I like best. I'd be happy to run trades for unmanaged teams in a league as whole - that way I could first try to balance the UNM teams with each other, then actually put together a strategy for each team on its own.

The way to logistically handle this is create a new manager account for teams just being caretaken by an owner - so instead of FredC as my log on that takes me to my teams, UNM_FredC could be a different account that gives me access to a set of unmanaged teams. Seperate log on, no concerns with billing, etc. Give the caretaker access from the end of the playoffs through the draft, then again from the time draft pciks can be dealt to the trade deadline (assuming no one claimes the team). This would also let the caretaker run the draft based on needs and not just talent.
