My opinion
Some have noted that Reyes is an out machine... and he has had a low OBP.
However, consider that he is still only 22 years old. He has 2 years in the bigs and he's still 2-4 years younger than several of the other top rookies this year.
I would expect steady improvement for at least the next 5 years and then he'll be in his prime.
In terms of long term potential I doubt that there will be very many players in any FA pools that have more. Sure there will be folks that grab a stud pitcher with the first pick for a quick fix, but I think Reyes would go high if he were draftable.
And I really don't think he has been TERRIBLE so far... he just hasn't produced at the STAR level YET.
It would be interesting to know if I'm the only person who sees it this way.
