That was one of the most amazing draft days in PB history. The day of the rookie draft, they announced, around 10 AM EST, that he needed surgery and would miss most of the season. Some GM's changed their draft lists and others couldn't get to it or didn't see the news. He went first in 7 out of the 20 original leagues. The timing was perfect/horrible depending on where you drafted.
