You're right when you say everyone has known about the cap issue for months. However, what wasn't known until yesterday was what the cap number was because it was supposed to change after park effects were run. Since Mike has now postponed running park effects and having PB values change until after the draft, we finally know the number is officially 112. It doesn't seem unreasonable to give managers 24 to 36 hours after finalizing the number to make roster changes. For those of us with many teams, I think I have 18 at the moment, it was very helpful.
