Because you're an idiot. A quick glance shows the Burnsville team, owned by Michael Douglas (one of the best PB managers; do we want to protect him from sharks?), needed to pare down some PB value as he was up against the limit. He obviously made a trade where he got the best picks he could and traded two guys who, though valuable, weren't key players for him.
To top it off Michael then drafted Papelbon and Reyes with the picks, two excellent young prospects.
