I think there is a serious problem with teams jockeying for draft position by not trying their hardest to win towards the end of the season if they aren't in the hunt for a playoff spot. I'm not accusing anyone of throwing games.....OK, yes I am but it isn't too far from the truth in some cases. This plan would give even more incentive to teams to lose at the end of the season, so I'm not in favor of it. I think any team not qualifying for the playoffs should be thrown in the lottery for draft picks so that there are only two groups of teams (playoff and lottery) instead of the current system where ther are three groups (playoff, lottery, teams needing help but too honest to lose on purpose).
