I think the problem with all ideas is tanking. Unfortunately I don't think there's anything you can do about it except for 1 thing I'll point out later. I think though if more teams were in the lottery there would be less tanking. Think about this if you were jockeying 1 or 2 games out of the playoffs would you even think about tanking or making your team better. I know I'd try to make my team better. The thing I'd do and think would make everything better and discourage tanking would simply be no weighting at all that would mean the 12th team in the 20 team leagues and the 16th team in 24 teams leagues would have just as good a shot at the 1st pick as the worst team. If that's the case then what good would there be to tank. I know this might not be the fairest thing to do, but, it's the only way to prevent tanking.
