Dave, I agree with you that baseball is certainly not the only sport with a steroid problem, and the huge specimens we see on the football field did not get that way merely from lifting weights. But I see baseball in a somewhat different light, because this game is based so much more on statistics. A baseball player's greatness is judged on their lifetime statistics, and to artificially inflate one's stats does a major disservice to the players who came before them and generated their stats without the benefit of an artificially inhanced body. In my mind it's no different than using a corked bat. If a corked bat is unacceptable, so it a corked body.

Tainted stats stain the game. Shame on all of the players that took the easy road to success. They have absolutely no respect for the game.
If I had Bonds on one of my teams I would trade him to anyone who would have him for a bag of chips. It might sound corny, but I have to like and respect the players on my teams. That is part of the fun of PB.
