Of course I don't believe fried chicken enhances performance & I've tie my shoes for at least 50 yrs. It was my African-American sarcasm. Why not investigate Aaron's past also ? In my mind the probe is based on fear. The same fear that caused Aaron to receive death threats. Fear from some old media types clinging to Babe Ruth as king. It's over, Ruth's records are broken. I see this probe as an attempt to negate Bonds accomplishments. Whether evidence is discovered or not his records are already tainted in the court of public opinion. That doesn't appear to be enough for some people. Everyone enjoyed the HR race in '98. They were suspicions but no probe. The owners were making money & the fans loved it. Why no investigation till the book ? Why is probe limited to events from 9/02 to now ? 12 MLB players have tested positive & received 10 day suspensions. If Bonds never tested positive how can he even be punished ? Even he tests positive now should he be given a longer suspension & why ? As far as drug charges go, when Rush Limbaugh gets jail time Barry should follow him to jail. Mike Douglas pointed out to me the possibility of a lying to the grand jury charge. That makes more sense then a probe into past steroid usage.
