Eric Gagne's right elbow nerve removal was termed a success by doctors and he could be back in action in two months.

"Gagne will be allowed to resume throwing in about three weeks with a possible return to action in eight weeks. Just judging by how things have gone so far, we wouldn't be surprised if he's out until the All-Star break anyway, and if he's not 100 percent, he probably won't reclaim closing duties right away. Still, this news makes him worth holding on to in mixed leagues."
