You say picking a rookie in RT is easier than in TRAD because you have 6 weeks of info???
But in TRAD you have an entire season of stats for rookies.
I don't follow your logic?
As to the Gibson/Koufax comment - I agree with you they might be well known prospects today - perhaps better than during their time thought they weren't unknown prospects even back then.
My point though was that in TRAD you have pitchers with GREAT stats for the current year but perhaps less long term prospects than someone with mediocre CURRENT stats. A contending team might very likely pick the guy with the great stats/less potential while a building team would go for the potential - thus the building team has a better chance to be successful in TRAD. In RT - neither team cares about last year's stats - just the future.
...and for me that is part of what makes RT more fun.
