I was in at the beginning when CSN formed. The first
season was 1990. It was a short season, 130 games.
I was the Oxford Owls at the time, Senior Circuit,
Eastern division. The Owls went 71-59, finishing 2nd.
Year two saw the Owls again win 71, but this was a 160 game season
and the 71-89 record was good for 4th. Then came the glory years for us.
87-73 in 92, 3rd in the division, 103-57 and the first division
win in 93. Lost to Modesto in the circuit series.
1994, 101-59, Division winners, beat Piney Creek for
the Sr. Circuit but lost to Concord in the S3 world
series. Since then have gone 81-79, 82-78 and 82-79.
All second place finishes. 95 and 96 lost in the first round.
97 had to win a playoff game before losing in the first round.
Got to break that habit.
Thats the history of the Owls/Prospectors. Maybe the other old
