Since this trade has raised much speculation; I decided that it be best to reply.(I don't want Ken to be hung....LOL) First of all, I joined this league to stay. Ken felt I would enjoy the style of league play. This trade reflected our styles of managing. Ken likes walks and homers. I like speed and defense. Here is my plea to the commish that will sum up my thoughts on this trade:

Mike,
I appreciate the current and continued concern(after this trade) for looking after this rookie GM. I like speed and defense up the middle; 3 or 4 good starters and a tight bullpen. K/BB ratio can be a factor in my hitters.With that being said ; here are my thoughts on the trade.
Reyes/Weeks : I like Reyes speed. Weeks is a promising player ; but his K's and fielding concern me. Reyes gives me enough quality to never regret this trade.
Podsednik/Klesko: with speed and power offsetting this trade; I believe I have the advantage with current health and future in mind.
Counsell/Renteria: Counsell is a Gold Glove and steady on base man year in and year out. Even with Babe Ruth numbers; I would hesitate to play Renteria at SS due to his fielding. Depending on managing style; this could go either way.
Mackowiak/Woodward: utility players
I believe this trade benefits both teams due to their styles of managing. While Ken may like Weeks /Renteria up the middle...... It would give me nightmares. I like to get my power from the corner positions and leave my middle defended. Fielding and speed are usually constants in a player. Power fluctuates from year to year.
