I cannot believe that anyone would choose Konerko over Lee in any season except 2006.

I was shocked at the responses to Tim's post below.

Maybe baseball and Sabremetrics have passed me by on the senility highway but Lee is twice the player Konerko is.

2003-2005--Konerko OPS .704, 894, .909
2003-2005--Lee OPS .888 .860 1.080

Lee is a plus baserunner and for a firstbaseman he is probably the best. Lee 77 career steals, Konerko 4 career steals.

Lee is a two time gold glove fielder.
Konerko has never won the award and do not hold your breath on this one...

I know Konerko hit some home runs in the playoffs but he is not in Lee's league as a first sacker.
