I Would Not Vote For him
I would keep him out of the Hall of Fame just like Pete Rose. His numbers are what they are because they cheated. Same goes for Gaylord Perry and his spitter. But unlike pitchers like him, there has been no greater harm to the games records than steriods. Lets look at Caminiti who doubled his home run total in his MVP year. Also Rich Aurila, Jay Bell, Lenny Dykstra for example. All 12 to 17 home run guys hitting 37 homes all of a sudden out of nowhere? As we see now, this season what Bonds is doing without steriods. .250 average with 7 homers. Sosa without steriods .237 ave with 15 homers. And since HGH is untracable at this time, are players still using that instead of steriods? What would Mantle, McCovey, Aaron and Mays have done on steriods? Would we be looking at a 1000 homers in their careers?
