I'd like to hear why the trade date was originally set up when it was. I'm sure there was some logic for not having trades of draft picks until a little later in the season.

Perhaps it is to let the losing teams see who they might be trading before they give up their high picks or trade for more picks. Maybe some protection for newer managers/owners also.

I've voted for things where I didn't understand the full story and come to regret having done so. I'd like to hear why Mike originally had the trade block set when it is.
