My experience in the game is if the other team is in a bunt situation and the pitcher is at bat, you should bring corners in. If you don't, it may be a hit, but not usually. Even if you do, the chances of a sacrifice are good, but at least it will not be a hit.

Other times, even with corners in, I have had opposing hitters get on base. The opposing hitter usually has a high bunt rating. So sometimes no matter what you do, he will get on base.

I'm sure the ODR of your infield and battery come into play as well.

How good is you 3B and 1B? What is your catchers ODR?
