Brian only offered Webb as an upgrade to Arroyo after I complained about the first offer.

Webb does make the offer better than it was with Arroyo. But the blow up (that I made and Brian is complaining about) was in response to the offer with Arroyo.

P.S. If you believe that Konerko will be a poor performer just because his numbers so far are poor (which is a bad premise to start with) then by extension you should also assume that Chipper will also perform poorly because he has so far.

So by your logic process I am replacing a poor performer (Konerko) in the lineup with another poor performer (Chipper) and I am also replacing Arod with Lee.

Will Lee give better offense than Arod this year? Probably yes. Enough to make up for the future talent loss. Probably not.
