Another Interpretation
I have already privately apologized to Brian C privately. I over-reacted due to the emotions of the situation.
Now I do deny that my statements are the same as saying that Brian C was stupid.
I said it was a stupid offer and a stupid rationalization.
That can either mean
(1) that I think the person is stupid
or
(2) that
(a) I think the person sent me a really bad offer because he thinks that I am stupid enough to respond.
and
(b) I think that his rationalization is so full of holes that it sounds like he is again trying to put one over on me because he thinks that I am that stupid.
I am of the opinion (and perhaps I am a couple years out of date, let me know) that Alex Rodriguez is the 2nd or 3rd best player in MLB (considering offensive performance and the position he plays) and any time I get an offer for him that isn't "top notch" I tend to over-react.
I apologize for over-reacting... but I still think its a bad offer.
