The very fact that there continues to be discussion on this board about whether its a good idea to lose games and improve draft position is definitive proof that the switch at midseason created a fatal flaw in the RT game. Any system which makes you think twice about trying your hardest to win every game is a bad system. Everytime one of the contenders crushes an also-ran which has half its good players on the farm the credibility of the standings are compromised. Mike and Dwight must find a way to give unquestioned incentive to all teams to try to win ALL SEASON LONG. The midseason switch in the draft was a bad idea all the way around. Purebaseball will never reach its potential until it has every team trying to win every game. I disagreed initially with the whole idea of helping poor managers and hurting good ones (sounds too much like communism) but the worst part of it is the teams want to lose so they can get better draft picks. If my team stunk I'd be doing the same thing...you'd be stupid not to. Hopefully someone will come up with an idea to make it in everyone's best interest to try to win even if your team is in last.
