LL test
In my only LL I made the playoffs as the second wildcard team. I had to face the league's best team in the first round and I scored a huge upset using this RP strategy (sort of).
I had lots of relief pitching, so I decided to take a few of them and burn up all of their innings in a single game or two. I chose guys that had started at least one game though, so I wouldn't get the down-grade. The relievers I started were Mike Williams, Donne Wall, and Rick White. Williams and Wall each went 1-0 in the series. White started two games, both wins, but only got credit for one.
I won the series in 7 games and managed to keep all of my regular starters fresh by using them in relief.
In the second round I had to use my regular starters and I was eliminated in six by the eventual champs.
Playing it straight, I probably wouldn't have made it out of the first round. I knew from the start my pitching staff would be badly depleted even if I managed the upset. But what the heck, I wouldn't have been able to get that much out of them if I'd been illiminated in the first round.
BTW. This was LL PB99 #33 if you want to see the box scores.
