The previous two games were started by Ramon Martinez and Francisco Cordova (2 regular starters FYI). Thus, your team went ahead 3 games to none in the series. It was a good time to take a gamble, so the two relievers were started without much to lose. You contradict yourself by stating the manual allows it, then saying "let's play by the rules".
