I am in a couple of PB leagues, including one I pay for. That may be ending as I am
thoroughly disappointed with what has great potential.
This is going to seem like sour grapes, but I have a number of leagues I am basing
this whinning on.
You REALLY need to get your programing together folks.
In every league I am in, there are NUMEROUS complaints about extreme unfair
and unrealistic play for home teams. I have experienced that myself.
That's a hell of a way to try and sell people on paying to be in a league.
For example: In one league, I have a lineup that runs as follows: Damon, Andruw
Jones, Piazza, Manny Ramirez, McGriff or Tony Clark, Canseco then Nevin.
Four of those guys hit over .300 and no one was under .260.
And the power? two had 40-homer years and five had more tha 90 RBI, led by
Manny's incredible 165 RBI.
So what has happened? In 3 home games I have scored a total of SIX runs, that
being on two 3-run innings.
Last game, some guy named A.J. Burnett shut me out and pitched like Pedro,
striking out Ramirez, Canseco and Clark consecutively.
The scoring isn't even right either as my "ace," Curt Schilling was shelled in game one
going six or seven innings, yet the box score shows him giving up 12 runs in TWO
innings.
When you are waiting and waiting to play a home game and you're suddenly down
by a half-dozen runs or more before you blink, you sometimes just wanna throw in
the towel and go through the motions. It's frustrating when it seems so unfair at times.
This is supposed to be "realistic" with all those supposed math calculations involved.
I think it may be little more than an old dice-throw game with the computer randomly
chosing what play to run.
I really wanted this to be something where strategies and stats actually played a part
in how it was played, but apparently not.
Again, this is not based only on one league or team, I am currently in three leagues.
Sorry for the whining, but I TRULY hope it will somehow make a difference with the
powers that be who run these leagues.
Come on guys, you have fixed all kinds of other game glitches, how about
concentrating on problems that REALLY mean something.
