SIM ?s and WORN out use--my 2 cents
On the subject of using worn out or overused players, there is nothing illegal about it. The game subjects these players ot injury and lessened results. The degrading of these players does not guarantee that they will nto perform well just as there is no guarnatee that an INN pithcer will not shut you out on a good day. Soime of this alleged use of worn out players was due to the fact that a plyer with very few PA or IP can go way over that total during the course of one game and that overuse is assigned only BETWEEN games and not during a game (except for pitcher tiredness due to BFA).
This SIM game uses a wider variety of STATS INC statistics than any other on the market. This wide range of rated player skills requires a large sample to reproduce MLB results and can not be expected to approach them in 50 or even 160 games. If it could, it would not be a SIM? Over many leagues and taking into account we play 20-24 leagues and that drafted SIM-ball leagues favor the offense because solid platoon lineups can be crafted with far more predictable results than in real life, the results generated by the game are very good.
