I'm playing a series in F18 that has been a rustfest. Both teams were full of rusty players coming in: I had won the previous series in 5, my opponent in 4. The rest day before games 6 & 7, the game days themselves and the day in between series' caused a whole lot of rust. I was away first so my team is still pretty rusty, whereas my opponent was able to pitch and play everyone to get the rust off. No problem; when we go back for games 6 & 7 I'll have the rust edge.
With the definition of rusty that we have I don't even know if it matters at all, but I think that after a 160 game season and two playoff rounds a few extra days off don't really hurt a player.
The Yankees haven't suffered the last two years, have they ?
What do you guys think ?
