I've seen this mentioned several times, and I've noticed it in my launch league, and this is the offensive explosions. I understand that we are playing in a 20 team league and so the offensive talent is more concentrated, but doesn't the same go for the pitching as well ? I know the pitchers are facing a generally higher caliber of batters, but the batters are also facing a higher caliber of pitcher. Shouldn't this balance things out to some extent ? I also understand that a 50 game season like a launch league is too small a sample to draw many conclusions from, and in my case we've played only 15 games so far, but it seems hard to believe that by chance every team just happens to be hitting the ball so well that a team ERA under 6.00 puts you well above average. Shouldn't there be some teams experiencing pitchers playing over their heads ? Why is it only the batters going crazy, and why is it all of the batters ? Just wondering...
