Platooning is the biggest factor in PB. In fact it is such a big factor that many guys consider it a flaw in the game.

I look at some of my vs left lineups and laugh. There is no way that lineup of part timers would ever take the field in the real game. But it is the best strategy to use in our sim game. Each lopsided stat is milked for every AB.

Keep in mind that this same strategy is used for late game pinch hitting, which eliminates a lot of the bullpen platooning. It's another big factor that home teams have over the robot.

These factors are really significant and I can see this easily making a 15% difference between hitting and pitching.
