He was right in taking that player off your roster.

Among other things, the Commish is there to ensure that no one abuses the league or the league rules.

So everyone knows : THE STORY:

You drafted a guy who played 1 inning last year. In that inning he gave up a walk.

You used him as a STARTER in one game (the first game I believe), where he went the full 9 innings pitching a no-hitter, and then you used him in relief later in the same series for 7 innings (the last game in the series) Again, he pitched no-hit ball.

This is an OBVIOUS abuse of an extremely limited player. How is any league fun if you look at the stats and see some joker at the head of the league? You were playing outside the "spirit" of the game.

Just be happy you received 17 scoreless innings and 2 wins from that guy. You knew what you were doing when you did it.

As for the game engine, I agree... that game engine should have killed your pitcher, but it didn't, and I'm sure the programmers are trying to find out why to ensure this sort of thing doesn't happen again.

But let me ask you, if the game engine had worked properly, and your limited pitcher was dealt a season ending injury after pitching 3 innings, would you be complaining? No? Then why complain now? Because you want to continue using this pitcher and continue abusing the league?

That's not sportsmanship my friend. I understand some people must win at any cost, but what fun is it winning by unfair methods?

The commissioner did nothing wrong. He simply acting to correct a game engine oversight.

Happy holidays!
