I for one DO agree with you that the decreased use of innocuous pitchers vs their actual innings and the overuse of the "good" or "great" pitchers should result in less offensive production - not more.

I think the best argument for increased offense is the overuse of platooning, but even so the overuse of superior pitching and lack of use of the weaker pitchers SHOULD BE a stronger factor.

The game "logic" is apparently weighted towards offense. I personally would prefer less scoring because I think that allows your management decisions to become more important. For me at least, the sacrifice is almost never used; because 1 run is usually not that critical and I feel you have to go for the BIG inning.


Still, as you figure out how you "think" the game works, you draft and play accordingly and it is "fair".
