Just wondering what the rationale is for using road wins as the tiebreaker for home field in the playoffs between teams with equal records.

Seeing as how the manager has more control on home games, why not reward the manager with the better home record? I'd think we'd want to reward managerial skill this way, as the road record implies more team ability while the home record implies more managerial ability.

Just a thought...
