Draft on April 18th, start on the 4th.
Since it is real time, you should be drafting players that are new or recent rookies. It takes a couple of weeks for players to get stats and qualify for rookie status, thus a two week window before the draft. Then start the season two weeks later. This will also alleviate some of
the problems owners have with the drafts during the middle of the season.
