Friday, April 21 is Good Friday and Sunday the 23rd is Easter. I really don't think we should have to draft or cut players on a holiday weekend since a lot of people (myself included) will be traveling those days and may not have access to a computer. These drafts and cuts are so important for the coming season that I'd hate to see the robot do it for many teams.
Also, two more weeks is not going to add very many rookies to the draft list and it drastically cuts the time to make the adjustments teams may need to make via trade before the start of the season.
My vote is for the Rookie draft to start April 4 and the season to start May 4.
