Actually, in the situation mentioned here, the scenario would work as follows:

1) relief pitcher brought in to face LH batter
2) PH brought in to face LHP
3) relief pitcher brought in to face RH batter
4) Pinch hitter brought in

At this point, the _second_ reliever would have to pitch to the _second_ pinch hitter. I've had this happen many times in many scenarios, ranging from real live baseball to APBA computer baseball. It has always worked like this. Might be an oversight in PB programming.
