I suppose that everybody wishes that they could pull the wool over somebody's eyes, so it's not too uncommon to see trade offers that look a little cheesy. If that 27 year old entices you, offer what YOU think he's worth, and see how far you get.
As far as the in-fighting, etc., I know that the leagues I've been in have been pretty clean....
