FA Draft
Personally I feel the drafts are already heavily weighted to favor the rebuilding teams. The rookie and monthly drafts are the drafts that produce the building blocks like Carlos Beltran, JD Drew, Eric Chavez, Octavio Dotel, Tim Hudson and Billy Koch (players taken last year in my RT league).
The FA draft does contain some useful players, but it's main purpose is to fill the gaps in your roster. The top guys taken in my league last year were Tony Phillips, Wil Cordero and Jeff Wallace. Decent players, but nothing that will turn around a struggling franchise. This draft seems to be more useful to the better teams who are a few players from putting a contender together.
Considering the handicap the top teams have in drafting top prospects, I don't think we should begrudge them the occasional high FA pick.
