Changes etc.
I've been, as I'm sure many have, thinking along the same lines. The central question is how to organize the PB year. We've got a 32 week season with a 4 week playoff afterwards. There seems to be a productive period of 4-5 weeks from the announcing of the rookie draft order to the completion of the FA draft, where most leagues have a pretty active trading period. After this period managers seem to ready to dive right into games.
So we've got 40-ish weeks of true PB activity and a 52 week calendar. Now we just need to decide how to best use it. Take a 2-week "All-star Break" in mid-season ? Extend the season 1 more week and have a 2 game series to bring the schedule to 162 games ? Whatever ideas we can come up with to better utilize the entire year and eliminate the dead spots should be looked into.
What do you GM's think ?
