35 Man Roster

Posted By Bill Hairston

I don't think an adjustment to having more than 35 players would cause a great change in the game, unless as Jon said that it was done to acquire a few 10 IP pitchers who had 0 ERA, or a position player or two who batted .550 or something outrageous. Instead of changing it to a open ended roster, however, I would rather see an implimentation of a monthly FA draft like the Real-time leagues have. In that case I would like to see a limit (maybe 40)to the number of players, but that would be a more appropriate change. Late in the season, when I'm running out of innings in my pitchers it would be nice to get a few 'scrubs' to finish off the blow-outs and not hurt my good starters by overusing them. Just a thought . . .
