I have two players who are INN but are rated PLATOON L. I am short at bats and need to play these players a lot. What will happen as I continue to use them against LHP and exceed the platoon limit? My understanding is they will be allowed to play (no overuse?) but their performance will be "degraded" by some unkown amount. Anyone have an idea what "degraded" really is? Is there a cumulative penalty- what if you continue to exceed the limit on one player by several hundred at bats?
