Will Oritz win 32 games this year????
The phenom this spring in M13 is pitcher Ramon Ortiz. He’s started 2 games this year and won both allowing 5 hits and one run in 13 innings. His ERA of 0.63 is much better than the regular season’s 6.32 and where left-handers rocked him for a .293 average and slugged .515 against him last year he has them hitting .167 with a .208 slugging percentage. That’s great but it’s not even the best part!
He’s been graded as Innocuous so where he only pitched 48 innings last year, he can pitch as much as he wants this year!!! 32 wins is not unreasonable.
As a matter of fact, I’ve learned a lot about pitching this week. We faced 3 Innocuous pitchers with none, lost 2 out of 3 and had to go to extra innings to win 1 against the bullpen. I think I’ve been approaching pitching wrong, I need more Innocuous pitchers.
FYI- our OPS totaled 7100 vs. 6798 for the winners so we were competitive there but just didn’t have the INN pitchers to hang with them.
